Background

The journey to what is now Start Spark began a long time ago - all the way back to my days of growing up on a dairy farm in Wisconsin, where I definitely learned about hard work. I escaped the farm to go to college at the University of Wisconsin-Madison, where I graduated with a degree in the then-new field of multmedia design. After that I moved to the Twin Cites and worked in marketing and business devlopment for a satellite television company for a few years. Looking to go back to something creative, I began working for a web development company. When that company went under during the dot-com bust, I began doing freelance work and opened Start Spark in 2001. I couldn't be happier with the amazing projects, businesses, non-profits and people I've worked with along the way.
